The province is home to some of the best known frozen food companies in China. The province exports over 20 food varieties to more than 20 countries and regions.

China's foreign trade rose 3.4 percent in 2019 to 31.54 trillion yuan with exports growing by 5 percent year on year to 17.23 trillion yuan, according to the General Administration of Customs.
