有哪些值得深藏和文字优美的书籍推荐？

我就推荐几本文辞优美的英文著作吧。

原则：只推荐自己读过的。但由于英文版电子书找不到，就搬过来中文版了。

1、《了不起的盖茨比》

这是我读的第一本英文原著小说，也是迄今为止我认为现代英文文辞最优美的一本。

开篇第一段，应该是这本书最出名的一段了。也是非常有哲理意义的一句话。

然后我再随便找几段描写，大家可以感受一下。

I wanted to get out and walk eastward toward the park through the soft twilight, but each time I tried to go I became entangled in some wild, strident argument which pulled me back, as if with ropes, into my chair.
Yet high over the city our line of yellow windows must have contributed their share of human secrecy to the casual watcher in the darkening streets, and I was him too, looking up and wondering. I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.

怎么说呢，就是这本书，让我开始意识到英语中长句子繁复错落的美感。

2、《先知》

这是我初中时手抄过一遍的书，黎巴嫩作家纪伯伦的Prophet，就是因为被那首“我曾七次鄙视自己”惊艳到了。一共抄了一个多月，语言非常拗口，说实话对学英语没什么卵用，但对感受英文表达的文字张力很有帮助。

3、《飞鸟集》

大概中国人无人不知这一本书，但真正看过英文版的并不多。这是我高中的时候，一个MP4自带的有声书，所以我就每天听着入睡。

这本书英文不难，属于英文诗歌入门比较简单的书了。

4、《冰与火之歌》

我先看的剧，后补的中文版书，然后才看的英文版。

不得不服，老马的文笔绝对是英文领域顶级的，和他丰富的想象不相上下。

5、Yes,Minister

严格来讲，这是一本影视作品衍生读物。

看过《Yes,Minister》的都知道这部神剧有多少神言论，但相对而言，这本书主要是以日记的形式呈现的。

我一直觉得，英式典型的委婉、冷幽默和各种双关语、讽刺语，是英语语言中最精妙的一部分之一。

同时，强烈推荐大家看这部剧的台词整理本剧本，网上有大神整理过，非常值得一读。
