非谓语 doing/done/to do 形式如何选择？如何判断主被动？

第一题

be determined to do sth 下定决心做某事

He is determined to return home./ He is not determined to return home.

题目中，把be动词省略，保留determined。

类似于，Encouraged by his teacher, he was confident to win the competition.中的encouraged。第二题也是一个类似的例子。be combined with，省略be，保留combined。

补充解释：determine to do sth 决定做某事

determine用作主动或者被动的词组都是有的，如果这里用主动，he determine（不考虑时态，暂用原形），应该省略he，把determine改成determining。determining用在这里会给人一种延续的、进行中的感觉，但是determine是结束性动词，无法延续。

determine to do sth是表动作的，结束性的，be determined to do sth是表状态的，延续性的。

第二题
