The present disclosure relates to an electrode and a battery manufacturing method capable of realizing high electrochemical capacity and initial efficiency by using an artificial graphite anode material, particularly, unassembled artificial graphite. Specifically, it is a lithium secondary battery made of 100% unassembled artificial graphite or an anode material containing unassembled artificial graphite. The discharge capacity and initial efficiency of the negative electrode material were respectively 350 mAh/g or more, when the electrode and battery were manufactured with the electrode density of 1.4 g/cc or more and the EC content in the electrolyte solvent of 20% or less using the anode active material. More than 93% can be implemented.
