[Classes 79 (ii) and 79 (iv).] The casings A1, A2 of two separate electric motors are arranged coaxially with the driving road wheels B1, B2 and are rigidly connected together, the road wheels being journalled on the ends of the casings and each being independently driven from the adjacent motor shaft G through a pinion C fixed on the motor shaft, one or more idler wheels D1 mounted on spindles E1 fixed to the motor casing, and an internally-toothed wheel F fixed to the road wheel. Each pinion C is formed with a conical stem and lugs I fitting into corresponding parts of the shaft G, and is secured in place by a bolt H screwing into the shaft G. -
