[Class 79 (iv)] Relates to a chassis for a coach or other commercial vehicle in which the rear portions 7a of the longitudinal members are curved downwards in front of the back axle to provide portions 7b at a lower level between the front and back axles. According to the present invention, either or both of the longitudinal members are formed in one or more positions with portions 7 at the same or lower level than the portions 7a, but higher than the main portions 7b, to provide a stowage space for carrying one or more articles 5, such as spare wheels. The floor of the vehicle rests directly on the portion 7, and support may be given to those parts of the floor above the portion 7 by bearers 9 secured to the frame:
