摘要

PURPOSE:To construct a Li secondary battery having excellent charging/ discharging characteristics by using a specific Li-Mn composite oxide as pos. electrode active substance. CONSTITUTION:Li salt and Mn dioxide and Co salt are mixed together and subjected to a heat treatment to synthesize Li-Mn composite oxide containing Co. This is used as a pos. electrode active substance of a Li secondary battery. That is, the amount of 4-valent Mn is increased by including Co in the Li-Mn composite oxide, and the mean valency of Mn is increased to enlarge the charging/discharging capacity. Thereby a Li secondary battery having excellent charging/discharging characteristics is achieved.
