FIELD: transport engineering; wheeled vehicles with electric drives such as electric cars for disabled persons, battery-powered trucks. SUBSTANCE: each electric drive in proposed vehicle has semiconductor switch and electromechanical unit with slave electric motor with excitation from permanent magnets with discretely distributed windings and electromagnetic brake with mechanical latch. Control panel with speed and direction setters is provided. Vehicle has also control unit with logic change-over set and controllable change-over switch. Control unit is provided with integrator, slave motor rotor sense-of rotation detector and time delay element. Braking of vehicle is provided both at electric arrest mode and by means of electromagnetic brake. Mechanical brake is held triggered on without power losses owing to use of mechanical latch.
