PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a state of charging to be easily checked from a car afar off. PSOLUTION: When a charging circuit 31 is connected to a power source, the circuit 31 supplies a prescribed current to a battery 33 to start charging the battery 33. Then, a charging-start signal is inputted to a direction indicator controlling circuit 35, and a voltage detecting means 37 detects the terminal voltage of the battery 33. A detection signal corresponding to the detected terminal voltage is inputted to the controlling circuit 35, which controls the blinking right and left direction indicators 25a, 25b. In this control, the controlling circuit 35 controls both direction indicators 25a, 25b in such a way as to have a short on and a long off lighting at an initial charging period, to have a long on and a short off lighting as the charging progresses, and to keep them normally illuminated after the finish of charging.
