PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle controller to which sensorless vector control is applied such that a short circuit current does not flow continuously even upon failure of a voltage sensor. PSOLUTION: The electric vehicle controller comprises a permanent magnet motor, an inverter for supplying voltage and current to the permanent magnet motor in order to generate a desired torque, a motor open contactor provided between the permanent magnet motor and the inverter in order to electrically disconnect them permanently, and a fuse and a voltage sensor provided between the motor open contactor and the permanent magnet motor.
