PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium cell having excellent cell performance in despite of using MnOSB2/SBas a positive electrode active material and a lithium conductive ionic liquid for an electrolyte layer. PSOLUTION: The lithium cell has a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer occluding/releasing lithium, and an electrolyte layer that is laid between the positive and negative electrode layers and serves as a lithium-ion conductive channel. In the lithium cell, the electrolyte layer includes an ionic liquid, the positive electrode active material included in the positive electrode layer is MnOSB2/SB, and the surface of the positive electrode active material is coated with C (carbon) or Pt (platinum).
