I love how their taro milk tea has real taro in it and they also sell mooncakes too! And also a lot of Hong Kong style pastries and bread!
The taro milk tea was a little sweeter than expected even though I asked for less sweet but having it hot in the chilly morning feels pretty good.
I believe I got the special style mooncake that is layered on the outside. I got both taro and green tea. I didn't like the green tea one because there was red bean paste in it but the taro one was BOMB and it wasn't too sweet either. I'll go back for more moon cakes next year!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 26, 2017

Oh My Pan Bakery & Tea took over the old Flour & Tea location.
My husband, our little girl dog and I stopped by this little place (has been open for a little over a year now) last Wednesday evening around 6:30 pm. There is one small table outside (which is why we came with our dog).
After browsing the menu and looking at some of the bakery items on the shelves, we ended up getting:
Almond Milk Tea, $3.35 prior to tax- I ordered my drink at 50% sweetener. I ordered this drink hot since we were sitting outside. For this drink, I have the option of having it made with either green or black tea. I really don't like green tea and so I opted for black. I thought this drink was rather bitter, which means most likely that the tea leaves were steeped in too long. I was pretty disappointed with this drink.
Honeydew Milk Tea, $3.25 prior to tax- Ordered this drink for my husband at 50% sweetener. I did not have any, but my husband liked his drink. Also ordered this drink hot.
Milk Tea in Light bulb Container- Free with $10 purchase (the promotion ended on 10/18. According to the employee whom took my order, I got the last one...total score). This drink was good, but very sweet. I had forgotten to ask to have this made to be 50% sweetened. I really just wanted the light bulb container, because of it's novelty. The drink container is made out of plastic and holds about 14 oz (I measured it). I like that the drink container has a flat bottom so that it stand on a table without wobbling or tipping.
Taro Butter Cream, $1.65 prior to tax- The bread itself was soft, the taro inside was thick and not too sweet. The taro cream was a huge hunk in the middle and would have preferred to have this evenly distributed throughout the bun.
Cheese Bread, $1.25 prior to tax- Loved the garlic and cheese topped all over the bread.
Honeydew Melon Bun, $1.35 prior to tax- My husband ate this and liked it (didn't get a chance to get any since he took it with him to work).
Matcha Soft Macarons, $3.50 prior to tax- Soft and delicate little macarons. I liked the flavor of it and so did my husband.
------------------------------------------
(Total= $14.85 after tax)
When my drinks were ready, I greatly appreciated that the employee behind the counter immediately pulled out one of those cup holders that can hold 4 drinks. She also reminded me to take a straw for the light bulb drink container. I appreciate that she was helpful at providing that instead of me needing to have to ask for one.
Service was friendly and wait time for our drinks was not that long.
The unisex restroom was clean (although there is a key pad on the door, you do not need a code to get in) upon this visit.
The WiFi was working just fine during our visit.
There are a few 30 minute parking lot behind this place. There is also metered parking along the street, but I there is no time limit after 6 pm.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 253213779515Jul 31, 2017
Oh My Pan's San Gabriel location has always been okay in my book for a decent drink or solid desserts. Wanted to check out their Pasadena location when I was in the area and grab a drink to-go. They're located in what used to be Flower + Tea, taking up the corner location of Arroyo Pkwy and Cordova. Street parking would be the easiest and safest choice.
This location seems to have fancier dessert/pastry items than the SG location; they also had a decent assortment of bread when I came in on a Friday night. The prices for their drinks are not too bad, especially for a store that's located in Pasadena; however, I felt like the quality of the milk tea was not as good as the ones I've had in San Gabriel.
I ended up just ordering a simple boba milk tea. The price was around $3 for a regular sized drink. No mini pearls are offered here. The boba was just okay for me. I don't think they make it with the traditional "honey" that other places cook boba with, so there wasn't any sweetness in addition to the chewiness of the boba. It was cooked well, but just didn't add to the drink. The milk tea was decent. I think they use a specific tea - one that I'm not accustomed to drinking with my boba milk tea, so I wasn't a big fan of the overall milk tea. I had bought this for my parents who seemed to enjoy it. I probably won't order this again if I'm craving boba milk tea though.
I also purchased a slice of taro Japanese cheesecake as a last minute decision. The slice was also quite affordable, and it came individually boxed after the workers got it ready. I actually really enjoyed the taste of the cheesecake. Very creamy and light, but enough sweetness that kept me wanting more. The taro flavor enhanced the overall cheesecake, giving it a unique edge that other Asian bakeries don't have. The glaze on top added more sweetness, so when taking in a whole spoonful of cake was really amazing.
I can see their cakes and pastries being more of a star than the drinks. I think it's a decent location to study/work on homework or work if you're in the area. Chairs and bar seating against the window as well as tables throughout the small storefront.
tl;dr - Drink was just okay for me, but I really enjoyed the taro cheesecake. Definitely would come back to try some of their other cakes and even some bread if I'm in the area.Helpful 31Thanks 0Love this 31Oh no 0 - Jan 12, 2018Updated review
I got the coffee with sea salt butter bun. It's DIVINE (in photo it's the far left one).
I also got boba tea but sadly, it was a 20 min wait for boba so I got the tea without.
Once again though, despite the boba everything was so delicious. The workers are nice. And prices are really really cheap. I'd highly recommend.

The bubble tea is pretty good and the customizations are really cool. Honestly, best pastry/breads ever and I usually don't go for those types of things

Asian bakeries are my kryptonite.
The breads, oh my God the breads. (I'm imagining that's how they got their name)
The taro roll was super tasty, tons of taro cream in the middle. But the red bean mochi roll was my favorite. There's a big ol layer of mochi in there oooh yeah.
My one problem was with the rose milk tea with boba. I love when they add rose buds but FLOAT THEM, otherwise I'm sucking up buds in my straw and that's really not pleasant.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 4447114837024Aug 27, 2016
We have been such big fans of the San Gabriel location that it made me so happy to see an Oh My Pan location here. I was sad that Flour and Tea closed but am grateful that another great drink place opened in the same spot.
The drinks here are always top notch, from their fruity teas to their slushes. I have yet to try their brick toasts but my friend says it's awesome! I frequent this corner and the Paseo so I'll definitely be coming here more! The San Gabriel location is hard to get to because of its location in a popular corner so I prefer the Pasadena location because it won't be as stressful.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - 1131991188Mar 9, 2017
Love this place... I live in west L.A and I drive just for this. Specially because they serve non dairy drinks and Asian sweet buns!!
Come by and try it! You will love it! Great prices tooHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Madelaine T.San Diego, CA010Apr 29, 2022
The drinks with boba here are superior than those wimpy boba drinks at 85c. However, the breads are fresher, softer, and yummier at 85c. What I like about this place is the "underdog" aspect of this place. The bread selections are different from 85c. There are some unique ones, like boba tea bread and matcha custard. I also like the slow pace, and the easy atmosphere. This place is clean, but not sterile.

Grand opening special through Aug 22nd!
We got the Strawberry Volcano Toast which came with an extra huge scoop (cup size) of vanilla ice cream for grand opening. For a little less than $11, you get a shareable jenga tower of crunchy milk toast, strawberries, ice cream, chocolate syrup, condensed milk, and whipped cream. My hubby and I finished it off, but I intentionally ate light all day to make room for it. It's best for 4 people.
We also got our drinks which get double stamps for grand opening. I love the frosted milk with pudding. I wasn't especially fond of the taro. It wasn't incorporated into my drink. But the frosted milk is good, and not too sweet. Mix in the pudding to sweeten it as much as you like. Don't just drink the bottom without mixing. The milk tea was really good, too. The black tea in it is nice and strong and flavorful.
We also got 4 bread plus 1 free for grand opening special. They didn't feel that fresh, because it was end of day. It's not like 85 degrees with fresh bread all day. They have some different flavors though. I'm going to warm them up and try them tomorrow. Update coming soon.
They also gave us a sample of chocolate cake. It was very moist and delicious! The cakes are in the pricey side for an asian bakery, but they are so good, it's worth it!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 22, 2016
The layout is very much the same since this location changed from Flour + Tea to Oh My Pan. There is still free wifi, baked goods, and milk tea! I would still consider this a great study spot with free parking at the back and also across the street at the metro station.
My go to is the lychee rose milk tea which is pretty tasty. I personally think it's still sweet at 1/2 sugar so idk what full sugar would be like! The breads are also pretty good and have new twists on the traditional breads at most Chinese bakeries.
They even have vegan ham with corn bread. Their stamp card can be used at both this and the SAN Gabriel location.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
