Moved me out of state so they picked up one day and delivered the next day. Booking was very easy - could do it all online and via email though when I did call I was able to speak to a human. They were on time. The price was very reasonable ESPECIALLY compared to the non local
Companies that my job recommended that would have taken days to deliver my stuff. The guys worked hard and none of my stuff was broken or lost. They strapped my pictures and fragile

I will give a better star, if they ever refund my 900.00..A red flag should have gone up, when they asked for a 900 deposit..Aprof. moving company does not take this kind of money up front... My movers from CT, never took a dime, until they delivered everything. They did not,Ike my bad review, and said if I re wripote it, they would send a cashiers check? when and if I do receive the refund, then I will give them a better review,,They had four months cancellation notice, and it was due ypto a serious illness..any good compantpy, would honor this, and return the refund..Am still waiting, so we shall see..Should not take four months for a refund.. Am very disappointed, as this is a huge sum of money, to wait this long.....As of now, I would not use them ever..

900 dollar deposit...I had to cancel due to a serious illness

The 3 movers were competent and careful. However they had no supplies with them. No tape no shrink wrap they had dollies but nothing else. Just 3 guys in a car.
They did a good job wrapping the pieces with the blankets and tape we provided.
They moved the items into a pod for a cross country move. Have not opened the pod in the destination location yet as it is in route.

Just finished my move using three guys from Hands On Moving and I was really happy with the service and care they provided. Also - they were quick but not so quick that anything broke. Very happy experience!

Very upsetting and disappointing experience. This was an entire home move. Walls, doors, wood floors damaged throughout the day in each house - The estimator quoted us an added fee for 2 large objects - the correct moving device was not brought on moving day - both items were damaged. Mattresses moved without any covering and delivered dirty! MANY pieces of wood and leather furniture not protected correctly resulting in damage on legs & corners. One leather couch was dropped on the lawn and placed in living room with damaged corner and dirt stuck underneath it with dirt left all over the floor! Very rough handling - items were being moved by one person when there should have been two. Terrible experience.

Hands on was contracted through housing authority of NH and during that move my newborn daughters brand new crib was snapped in half and many other of my personal properties was stolen/damaged and now they have the nerve to say when I explained who the movers were they tried saying they only hire black workers so it couldn't have been them. I'll be seeing them in court and we'll see them pay for all my property their not so black workers damaged and stole!!!

If I could give more stars, I would. I needed three men for my move and they each introduced themselves to me and we're polite and curious all day. They never stopped working. Everytime I thought I was imposing, the would remind me that they were happy to help and that's what they were there for. No hidden fees and even though they're paid by the hour, they move FAST!

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Proper protocol would be to contact our office about the issue prior to booking another vendor and then asking to be reimbursed. The first complaint that we received from you came 20 days after your moving service. For liability reasons, our crew decided not to move this particular item to prevent damages to your home and to your item which you agreed upon with no issue. A handy man that may not carry as much liability as a full service moving company may be ok with taking on the risk. However, we have standards we must follow to prevent damages. Xzavier, the owner of the company, did reach out to you to share our policy and reasonings for not moving the items to the best of his ability since the move was on June 16th and your conversation happened on July 14th (28 days after your move). We would have been able to assist you with this matter if we knew about it in a timely fashion. - Aug 27, 2017
Overall, I'd say my Hands On Moving experience was good. Their prices were competitive, and I think the team of four who came the day of our move worked very hard and speedily, including taking on some heavier furniture. The estimation of time was spot-on.
However, there was some parts of the experience and outcome that were not optimal. I was surprised that none of our furniture was wrapped, even though when I put down money for the deposit and asked about wrapping furniture, they said the team would wrap furniture. Consequently, some of my wooden furniture has some new scratches in them, and I know they were not there before. Also, one of our door frames in our new apartment has noticable scratches; most of them can be painted over, but as a renter, this is not a great feeling getting into a new apartment. A lamp was broken as well, but the team leader immediately made note of it and docked $20 from the bill.
Lastly, it was occasionally very tough to get information over the phone beforehand. Even though there's a receptionist of sorts, she couldn't answer my question about payment methods accepted, and I had to wait for a call (that I never received). I'm also still a little confused about the quote I received with the number of people. There wasn't much information about the inventory gathering process, which clearly impacted the quote.
That said, Hands On has a very elaborate, comprehensive website, and I appreciated the ability to take care of so much or the website.

This was my first time using a moving company for a move and everything went smoother than I ever could have imagined. The crew arrived on time and got straight to it. They were rather swift with safely loading my belongings onto the truck, as well as transporting and unloading. All of my belongings were moved carefully and anything that they disassembled, they put right back together for me at the new location. To top it all off, their junk removal is elite and for a great price. I will be using Hands On Moving and Storage for all of my moving needs moving forward (no pun intended).
