I would recommend booking an Appt. With Silvia. She guided me step by step on what she will be doing with my hair (Brazilian blowout and touching up my red strip) plus she was very patient with me when I kept moving around, other places have got mad at me for moving around a lot.

She also suggested after care product to make sure I maintain the Brazilian blowout longer!

Sai worked a miracle with my hair. Due to issues with previous hair coloring I had done elsewhere, my hair was just not taking color the way it should have, and she worked for hours to correct and ensure that it was perfect for my wedding.

You can tell she really personally cared about getting it right. And she was incredibly knowledgeable about hair and answered all of my questions

On 4/3 I went to Sai at Color Lounge for "Going Gray". After looking through the reels on their instagram, it looked like she knew what she was doing. (Later realized there was a HUGE red flag.. the images were from 2018-2019!!) The consultation was uneventful, with one note. In the +/- 40 minute appointment, no fewer than 15 times did Sai say, "You have to use purple shampoo". No fewer than 15 times, I responded that I do, in fact, use purple shampoo. I paid the $300 deposit and scheduled an appointment.
I'll cut to the chase. This is what I wanted vs what I got.
It looks like I have frizzy roots from a prior bleaching process. Oh, yeah! That's Sai's excellent work. Do you see any blending? I don't.
When my hair was being rinsed for the last time, she says, "Now you can style it however you want". Huh? You're not going to blow dry my hair so YOU can see the results? In total, I paid $1900 for this fiasco. The service lasted 5.5 hours. I'll do the math for you. That's $345.45 per hour. She NEVER gave me a quote. I was shocked.
I have curly hair (not frizzy, until now) so she brought over a heat lamp. Guess they don't have diffusers.
The treatment stripped my hair of its curl. She must've known it was a problem as she joined me in my attempt to finger curl the front. To no avail, I might add.
She told me she was "giving me" a small tube of purple mask. She didn't GIVE it, she charged me.
I left with wet hair. She didn't show me the back.
When I got home, the comments ranged from "it's a work in progress, right?" To "I wonder if it can be fixed".
The following day, I called the salon and left a message for Sai expressing my displeasure. When she called me back, besides telling me "I told you so", she said, "it makes me sad that you're not happy. I want to make it right. It'll take time, so I'm going to charge you ". WHAT? No contrition. Just defensive reactions. Ultimately, I told her that we were speaking past each other, so continuing the conversation was worthless.
Ever hear the phrase "you break it, you buy it?" She broke it and expects me to buy it. Not happening.
Sure, I signed a flimsy contract saying they give no refunds. Wow. Guess they're experienced in the sort of failure I've received.
Can it be fixed? I don't know. Am I disputing the charges? You better believe it.
Taking advantage, casting blame, refusing to acknowledge responsibility for your work.
Don't trust them. And if you decide to, use a credit card so you're protected against this kind of fraud.

As always, the service here is top-notch. The cost is a pretty penny $$$ even for cutting hair. However, it's worth it. This is a small business where you have hairstylists who aren't novices but professionals. They hold a standard of quality care for your hair and will never hold back on providing you with honest advice.

This is THE salon to go to!!! Silvia took care of me and truly transformed my hair! Came in with an idea on what I wanted, and Silvia took the time to explain the process and answered all of my questions. She was so sweet and truly went above and beyond!! The salon was super cute and the environment was inviting and relaxing. I will definitely be coming back and will recommend this place to anyone!!!

Nestled in an ideal location with ample street parking, the first thing that grabs your attention is its strikingly unique aesthetic. It's not your typical salon environment, and that's precisely its charm.

But the real star of my visit was Silvia. Despite my spontaneous decision to bleach my hair, Silvia accommodated me on a busy Friday evening with barely a moment's notice. As someone new to the bleaching process, her guidance was invaluable. She was like a beacon of reassurance, meticulously explaining each step and ensuring my comfort. Regular check-ins and her genuine care made the experience feel less like a salon visit and more like a session with a trusted friend.

For anyone seeking a fresh look in a space that brims with character, and staff that go the extra mile, "The Color Lounge" is a must-visit. Can't recommend Silvia enough for her expertise and compassionate approach!

My only place to get my hair done. Sai is always very polite and friendly with anything I need. I have fine curly hair and every time I leave this place my hair and myself are happy. Worth every penny!!

Sai is a true artist when it comes to color. She is gentle and makes sure to use the least damaging methods. I never feel rushed, and she always listens. She is great at suggesting ideas as well. This time, she took my hair from drab, dry highlights & grey roots to a soft warm multitonal brunette with no damage- in fact my hair feels so much better! Try her deep conditioning treatment!
The space is comfortable ~ full of lush plants.
