Taylor is a hair magician!! I wanted to go from a grown out teal, to brown on top and green underneath and she handled the whole multi step process with professionalism and ease. I am blown away by the results! She did such an amazing job and my hair feels and looks so, so healthy. If you've got a hair project - big or small - you should absolutely go to Taylor to make your dreams a reality!!

I've been to ColorLounge twice now and absolutely LOVE it there. Most recently Taylor gave me my first post-COVID cut. She took 18 months of grown-out hair, listened carefully to what I had in mind, and absolutely nailed it! Layers later, I left feeling completely renewed and fresh.

Bonus points for being a very gray-friendly salon who knows how to handle silver hair in completely badass ways.

Just before the pandemic I saw Sai for a color conversion. I had always said that when the time came for me to go gray I was going purple first, and Sai made that happen to a level I dared not imagine. She managed to bleach out my remaining box brown so gently that I didn't lose any length at all. At the end of the process, she had transformed my half silver/half brown grown out mess into a beautiful amethyst that allowed me to enjoy my transition time feeling like a damn rock star!

Color or cut, I cannot recommend the staff of ColorLounge highly enough. They know what they're doing and they do it really well!

I really love this place. I got my hair dyed blonde (from virgin black) back in 2018 and they did a beautiful job. Had a consultation to talk about the process, cost and maintenance. It was super informative.

More recently, I went back after growing all my blonde out and wanted to get a piece-dye. Taylor had great suggestions for how to achieve what I wanted but low maintenance. My hair grows really fast, so I didn't wanna get touched up every 6 weeks.

My hair turned out even better than what I expected. Taylor was super nice and pretty quick. She also did a great job with my haircut-- usually I never like it when someone does a shortcut on me, but this one feels so light and amazing. I am happy that I don't have to put up with as much maintenance too!

I have been wanting to dye my hair for ages now and I finally decided to do it!
The salon was very covid friendly, temp checks as u come in, sanitizing hands and stations.
I told Taylor what I was envisioning and she heard me and even offered advice. Which I definitely appreciate because this is her profession, so she knows what she's talking about! Taylor is a trooper cuz my hair took 7 hours (sorry Taylor). From haircut, to bleaching, to dying and finally styling! But besides her awesome skills, Taylor is awesome and freaking funny. From the consultation to the ending result, hands down a great hair experience. Not only do I love the color of my hair, I really enjoyed my overall visit to Color Lounge. Taylor was very nice and obviously very skilled to successfully get my hair to what I'm calling it, Platinum Luxury. And on a side note- this woman is a hair washing champ!!

Taylor did an amazing job on my hair, I did a clarifying treatment and deep conditioning and she cut off all my dead ends giving my hair new life. Will be coming back to her for sure.

Taylor knows how to work some magic on my hair and is just an overall kind person! :) She got what shade of pink I wanted into my hair and was able to match it. She also introduced me to a hair product that I've been obsessed with.

So this is my second time with Taylor and I've gotten my hair dyed both times, and I really look forward to coming back here to be a regular with her! For my second appointment I scheduled the wrong type of appointment (I put down root touch-up, but I should have put down something else), and she still managed to squeeze me in.

Taylor is very informative about the process and will walk you through each step (which I needed because I'm so paranoid with my hair). And while I was super super picky with a specific color, Taylor came through and mixed the exact shade I wanted!! Lastly, I highly recommend going with her recommendations for hair care, since I honestly just bought whatever she suggested I use haha. Despite it being that extra $$, my hair still feels healthy after 2 months.

Considering they've worked around my schedule, walked me through the process, and recommended me great products, I have no complaints! 10/10.

Taylor, please just refund my money. Originally the $60 was supposed to be refunded. You promised me multiple times before you added all these new charges. I called about it and no one called back. I texted and you did this. First, it was then correct to keep the $60 charge on for one made up reason (see photo). I poke a hole, now it's another made up reason (see photo number two). You clearly inflated my tab and you were surprised to be caught (see photo number three).

Please give me back my $60. This is stealing.

Oh. About the service? I also had the same negative experience as JR, including overpaying... Maybe that happens to everyone who goes there? To add insult to injury, the extra charge was a consultation fee that wasn't reversed. Nobody charges a consultation fee if the client gets the service. It's blatant overcharging to do this. This is the extra charge I'm referring to in the body of my review.

UPDATE:

The $20 discount was because I bought three hair products and there was a promotion. Buy three, get 20% off the total or something like that. It wasn't a randomly discounted $20. Nice try though. This is absolutely in line with you charging me a consolation fee which was not refunded after I bought the service. Looks like everyone here lies, including you. I suppose they learned that from you as the owner? What a way to run a business. Or run it into the ground, as it were. No wonder your employees beg for Yelp reviews.

Taylor did a PHENOMENAL job with my hair. I gave her full creative control and she absolutely rocked it.

It looks great but much more importantly than that was how seriously they took precautions against COVID-19.

Everything they use is sterilized, in fact Taylor told me that they actually had to get rid of some tools that couldn't be sterilized and find work arounds.

There was only one other client besides myself the whole day and the salon is large enough that we were able to keep our distance. They have a policy that no more than 5 people can be in the salon at a time, including employees.

The stylists were incredibly diligent about hand washing and mask wearing, and they had sterilized areas for clients to place their belongings.

It's incredibly important that we support small businesses that are taking the pandemic seriously by doing their best to protect their customers and their employees. Color Lounge is one such location.

I love this place so much it is by far one of the best salons in Burbank's AND Los Angeles! The staff is so friendly and professional, and they always make sure to talk with you thoroughly about what you want and how to make it happen. Taylor is an ARTIST and made my hair look exactly how I hoped it would be! They are very welcoming of all types of people and it is a judgement free zone. Highly recommend
