So my Jaguar XJ has a cracked windscreen, insurance company arrange appointment at Auto windscreens. They then call to re schedule saying my screen needs a special technician as it has to be recalibrated afterwards. o_O
Apparently due to the lane assist and anti collision features the cameras have to be re calibrated which is adding another hour or so to the job

I feel you…and no more rant thread which I was looking for. Wasting time before or after a job is done is very frustrating.

I just collected my X5 from the panel beaters, simple re-spray of the front bumper. As I pull out of the lot I hear a thumping sound at the n/s front wheel for 15 seconds and coincidentally the window washer doesn’t work any longer. They McGyver the window washer, tube was torn. Couldn’t find anything at the wheel so ended up at the dealer. Thankfully next to a Mall so could pop in for lunch. They tested the whole bleddy car/transmission/but could t find any damage or problem. 3 hours after collecting the car at the panel beater I’m finally done. There goes your day

It's not just cars but IT, software, hardware, networks and all sorts of tech is getting way too complex. The knowledge, skills and abilities to resolve such issues will be lesser than the greatness of the issues soon I'm sure.
