Removing trojan.intell32 - Help

After going thru the reccomended removers and SW scans...  "trojan.intell32" will not go away.

MS Anti-Spy finds it says it removes it, then finds it again. Help please. Here is my HiJack this log. Thanks for helping!

Hello scottsburgh,

There appears to be a section missing from your HijackThis log file. It contains a list of the running services and is prefixed by "O23".

To ensure that you get the whole log posted, please do the following:

Run a new HijackThis scan.
When Notepad opens with the contents.
Hit Ctrl+a to select the entire contents.
Hit Ctrl+c to copy it.
Hit Ctrl+v to paste it into the reply box of this thread.

I'll be happy to take a look at it and give recommendations. :smileyhappy:

Thanks for your response George. I ran a new HJT log and it seems prefix "023" still does not show up. Do you have any suggestions? Here is the newest HJT scan result:

Hello scottsburgh,

It is possible that all of the services (O23) items on your computer are legitimate and thus HijackThis will not list them. I have never seen this actually happen so I'm going to consult with some other experts and will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am confident that we will be able to take care of your problem. :smileyhappy:

Hello cottsburgh,

Couple of things that we need to take care of straightaway.

I notice that you do not seem to be running antivirus software. AV software is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL in today's digital world. AVG makes an excellent FREE antivirus client, as do AntiVir and avast!. There are also many "pay-for" programs such as Norton, McAfee and NOD32 (the one I use).

I STRONGLY recommend that you download and install antivirus software as soon as you possibly can.

Additionally, please do the following:

1. Copy this line:

c:\HJT\hijackthis.exe /ihatewhitelists

2. Click Start =>Run
3. Paste the above line into the box
4. Hit OK

Copy/paste the contents of the log that is produced into your next reply. We can go from there. :smileyhappy:

Thanks.

George a.k.a. SpotCheckBilly

Hello scottsburgh,

trojan.intell32 is a part of the Smitfraud/SpyAxe infection.

Please follow the instructions at Nick's (Site Administrator at Malware Removal.com) blog.

After rebooting, return here with a fresh HJT log (run HJT the normal way, this time).-->Note
: Please disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection before following the instructions provided at NJick's blog, as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
  • Click Tools=>Settings.
  • In the left pane Click Real-time Protection.
  • Under Startup Options Uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
  • Under Real-time spyware threat protection
  • Uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
  • Click Save button.
  • Close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
  • Right Click the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar.
  • Select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

I await your fresh HijackThis log. :smileyhappy:
