Dell Latitude CPt Help! Reseting the BIOS!
Hello Everyone. I really need help! my dell latitude CPt battery had stopped charging so I did a little research and found that updating the BIOS may help. I downloaded A BIOS update from http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=BIOSA&osl=EN&catid=-1&impid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=LAT_PNT_MOB_CPT_S&hidos=WW1&hidlang=en
and ran it on my computer, After it extraceted and checked my hardware requirments and whatever it shut down. When I went to turn it back on nothing happened it was a black screen, but the power button flashes. I can't even get it to boot into a live CD. My guess is that the computer has no BIOS, if that is the problem does anyone know how to reset them? Thank-you in advance! btw any help at all is greatly appreciated!

Did you try to update the BIOS through the Windows environment? It sounds like you did.
On that model, you should only update in a DOS environment - not a command prompt window.
It sounds like you had a bad flash. If that is the case, you probably will have to purchase a new motherboard or a new computer.
