Research on the Open-source Integrated Library System KohaChinese Full Text

Abstract: The open source library automation system has become a major development direction in the future library automation market because of its good personalized service and software development environment, and low development costs. Through discussing the Koha system’s basic concepts and architecture, and comparing Koha library automation software with business library’s automation software, this paper further illustrates Koha system development prospects based on the open-source library automation system. Despite Koha’s degree of localization has not been fully achieved and the market development environment is not mature, software promotional efforts yet need to follow up, its software development base under the open-source environment has still high strength in the possession of the library automation market.
