Mr. and Mrs. David Hoffman
Yaffa Karp of Elizabeth, N.J. and
David Hoffman of Dallas were mar-
ried at the Mayfair Farms in West
Orange, N.J. on July 30,2007.
David, a graduate of Akiba and
Yavneh academies, is a senior at
Yeshiva University, majoring in a
pre-medical curriculum. He spent
1-1/2 years studying at Yeshivat Lev
HaTorah in Ramat Beit Sbemesh,
Israel prior to his entering Yesbiva
University in New York.
Yaffa is a graduate of Stern Col-
lege/Yeshiva University with a
major in English communications.
She also spent a year of study in
Israel, at Midreshet Moriah in
Jerusalem, and is currently
employed at the Mu seum of Jewish
Heritage in New York City.
The bride is the daughter of
Steven and Sarah Karp of Elizabeth,
N.J. The groom is the son of Kath-
leen Hoffman of Dallas, and Jaine
and Jeffrey Hoffman, also of Dallas.
The bride's attendants were Russi
Taubes of Teaneck, N.J.; Sara Pol-
lack of Philadelphia, Pa.; Meira
Bayar of Milburn, N.J.; Rifi Rosen
of Chicago, 111.; sisters of the bride,
Davita Karp and Alayna Karp, of
Elizabeth, N.J.; sister-in-law of the
bride, Ellie Karp, of Elizabeth, N.J.;
and sister of the groom, Jordana
Hoffman of Austin, Texas.

Natalie Morgan Rubin
Staci and Paul Rubin of Frisco
announce the birth of their
daughter, Natalie Morgan Rubin,
on July 18,2007 at Medical Center
of Piano. The new arrival weighed
7 lbs. 6 oz., was 19 inches long and
arrived at 4:10 a.m.
Natalie's big brother, Samuel
Reid, is 2 years old. Proud grand-
parents are Florence and Howard
Shapiro of Piano, and Samylu
Rubin and the late Dr. Norman
Rubin of Dallas, formerly of Hal-
lettsville. Natalie is the
great-granddaughter of Beedie and
Adolph Teitelbaum of Dallas, and
the late Harry Shapiro of San Saba.
She is also the great-granddaughter
of Ann Donald and the late Martin
Donald of Dallas.
Her Hebrew name, Nisya
Mychal, was given in memory of
her two "Papas," paternal grandfa-
ther Norman Rubin and maternal
great-grandfather Martin Donald,
who both passed away in the last
year and are greatly missed.

Ari Jordan (Ari Nachum) Hoch
was born June 5, 2007 at Medical
Center of Piano, weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz.
Noah Solomon, Ari's big brother, is
glowing with excitement. Proud par-
ents are Gerry and Beth Ackerman
Hoch. Ari and Noahs grandparents,
Dr. Gary and Ellen Ackerman of
Dallas and Morty and Aliza Hoch of
Montreal, are ecstatic. Excited aunts
and uncles are Jenny, Josh and Benjie
Ackerman, Miri and Jason Bowen,
and Lori and Barry Stiefel. Great-
grandmother Leia Bercovici is
beaming with pride. Great-grand-
parents, the late Cantor Bernard and
Edith Saitz, Asna and Izak Hoch, and
Herscu Bercovici are dearly missed.
Ari Nachum is named in memory of
his beloved great-aunt Nancy and
great-grandmother Asna.
