United Kingdom Did anyone get Michael Clayton and Crash on BD from the UK today?

Both Crash (2005) and Michael Clayton are out on BD in the UK today, on the Fox/Pathe label.

Has anyone bought a copy? How do they compare to the ancient US versions with their ancient encodes (the films are on different labels in the US compared with the UK).

Would anyone who has these UK BDs please post full audio and video specs and a list of all the extras if possible? If you could post clear pics of the front and back covers and the discs that would be doubly great! Could you also check if the UK discs are BD-50s?

The US release of Michael Clayton from Warner Bros only has Dolby Digital audio. I'm hoping the UK Pathe version has lossless audio and a better selection of extras!

I hope Crash has a better transfer than the US version. Looks like it comes with a slipcase too.

I'm really keen to find out what Pathe have done with these releases? I hated Crash with a passion but still want to know what the UK release is like.

I haven't seen Michael Clayton but I really want to see it based on what I've heard and read about it and on personal recommendation from friends.

I wanted to get the US version of Michael Clayton until I realised it was an older WB release with lossy audio and on a BD-25.

Come on peeps. Someone must have bought these UK Blus! Please let us know how they shape up!

Default Crash and Michael Clayton UK BD specs...

I have been sent both of these titles for review, but have only got around to looking at Crash in any detail so far - and I haven't seen the US version of either, so I don't know exactly how they compare. To be honest, I wasn't hugely impressed with the Crash disc, regardless of my general dislike for the film. Anyway, here's the specs for each...

Crash (110mins)
Region B locked (according to sleeve - I don't have a US player to try it on)
AVC 1080i 2.35:1 (I believe the US release was 1080p?)
DTS-HD Master Audio 6.1/Dolby Digital 5.1
Commentary with Paul Haggis, Don Cheadle and Bobby Moresco
9x Deleted scenes w/ optional commentary by Paul Haggis (10mins/576p)
Behind the Metal and Glass: The Making of Crash documentary (28mins/576p)
LA: The Other Main Character featurette (14mins/576p)
Unspoken featurette (12mins/576p)

Michael Clayton (120mins)
Region B locked (according to sleeve - I don't have a US player to try it on)
VC-1 1080p 2.35:1
DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1
Commentary with Tony and John Gilroy (hidden in Setup Menu)
3x Deleted scenes w/ optional commentary by Tony and John Gilroy (6mins/576p)
Theatrical trailer (2mins/576p)

Hope this helps.

So Crash isn't worth the upgrade from the DVD then? I like the film but when it's not a new film I always wait for verdicts on quality before I splash out on the Blu-ray. And usually I upgrade from DVD just because I want to watch my movies without the 4% PAL speedup, but for some reason the Region 2 Crash DVD isn't affected by it (well, my copy isn't).

Here in The Netherlands DFW has released Michael Clayton on BD; region free with DTS-HD MA and the Dutch subs can be shut off.

Any idea if it's a BD-50 or BD-25? UK release is a BD-25 (according to the case).

So, no audio commentary, is the MC disc the French or American transfer?
