In the afternoon of November 10, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of International student architectural design competition of UIA HYP CUP 2016 was held in the North exhibition hall of building NO. 27, School of Architecture, South China University of Technology (SCUT). The executive chairman of the UIA HYP CUP Jury, Academician of China Engineering Academy, CUI kai, and over a hundred attendee from Shanghai HYP Architectural Design Co., Ltd, architecture institutes, companies, studios in Guangdong, teachers and students from architecture universities presented in the ceremony. In the speech of Academician CUI, he looked back to the history and the important results of the UIA HYP CUP and appreciated for the support of School of Architecture, SCUT.

After the concise opening ceremony, the guests together with teachers and students went around the exhibition. There are 32 award-winning works show in it. During the opening exhibition, the representatives of award-winning students introduced their own design work. The outstanding works in the exhibition show a unique creativity, so that visitors can get inspiration and motivation in the reflection to better prepare for the future design competition.
