New Members Meeting

There will be a meeting for all Welwyn Hatfield u3a New Members on April 29th at: Welwyn Garden City Cricket Club
Knightsfield
Welwyn Garden City
AL8 7NQ

This meeting starts promptly at 10 am. Tea and coffee will be served - please remember to bring a cup.

At the meeting you will be given an overview of what the u3a movement is. You will meet the committee and find out what they do, also hear how our u3a functions and what it offers.
There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and to meet other new members. You can also collect your membership badge and lanyard if you have not already done so.

We have often been told that this a very useful meeting for new members so please make every effort to come along. Also, if you are not a new member, but have never attended such a meeting, you may find it useful to attend.

It would be helpful if you could let us know if you’re able to attend by sending an email to members@u3awelhat.org.uk . If you’re not sure yet, you would still be very welcome on the day.

We look forward to seeing you.

School Crossing Patrols

(Message from Jill Murray (Herts County Council)
"I currently have vacancies for School Crossing Patrols in the Welwyn and Hatfield area. I wondered if this may be of interest to some of your members? It is a lovely way to be part of the local community, 7.5 hrs a week, term time, £11.59 an hour. I have many patrols who are retired that enjoy the post purely because it gets them out of the house and is a great way to top up their pension."
If this is something you think would be of interest, click here (PDF) for further information.
