Thank you for visiting East Haven Memorial Funeral Home's website. We are one of the oldest businesses in East Haven, celebrating our 83rd anniversary.  One of the many things that sets us apart is that our funeral home has been run by family since its inception. The Longobardi-Brennan family has cared for the grieving families of the East Haven and surrounding communities for more than 100 years.  Before moving to East Haven, founder Salvatore Longobardi worked with his father Dominic Longobardi on Chapel Street in New Haven. Later Sal would be joined by his daughter Josephine (Joann) Longobardi-Brennan and eventually grandsons David S. Brennan and James Brennan. After Joann's retirement, David would become the owner of East Haven Memorial Funeral Home.

In early 2022, after almost 40 years at East Haven Memorial, David decided to retire. East Haven Memorial is now proudly owned and operated by Joseph E. Deko and James P. Integlia.

Joe has been with EHMFH for almost 10 years, and is a career firefighter in Guilford, CT. He currently serves as a high ranking elected official of the Town of East Haven. He also serves on the parish council of St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, a member of the Knights of Columbus, he is the President of the Shore Line Trolley Museum and is an active member of the East Haven Lions Club. Joe was born and raised here in East Haven and has very deep roots here.

James is a licensed funeral director who has spent the last five years working at W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home in Branford. Although born in East Haven, James now lives in Branford, but will quickly become a familiar face around East Haven.

Just as the community has changed over the years, so too has our funeral home. We have undergone several major renovations over the past 83 years.  Our facility is handicap accessible, has a state of the art audio/video system which allows families to play the music of their choice from various sources and allows a slide show of family pictures to be displayed on our large screen tv for visitors to see while attending a visitation. We have plenty of off street parking in our two large parking lots. Our children's playroom provides our young visitors with a place of their own, so families can stay together during a difficult time.  Finally, and maybe most importantly, our home is the only one in the area to guarantee that when you are in our facility, your service is the only one taking place at that time; you receive the undivided attention of our staff without having to share the building with another service.

Whatever your wishes are, whether it be burial, cremation, memorial services, pre-need/pre-planning, or just looking for information, we can help you.  It is our goal to provide first class funeral service to the families who trust us with the care of their loved one. Empathize with families who come to us, as we have experienced significant loss ourselves. Attention to detail, striving to customize each funeral, and treating everyone the way we would want to be treated are some of the values that we operate by. Please stop by to see our facility, meet our staff and become part of the East Haven Memorial Family.
