4. The Online M
edia’s Social Responsibilities
More often than not,
we see teenager
’
s queer behaviors. So many examples shocked
our
eyes
like
a
18
year
old
teen
killed
a
stranger
for
no
reason
but
just
for
fun.
A
junior
high
school
student
stayed
in
the
Internet
bar
for
3
days
and
nights
without
going home and
suddenly dropped
dead because of heart attack. These examples are
best illustrations of how internet
has
influenced teens
’
behavior. Other examples can
also
explain
how internet has changed men
’
s life in shopping, reading and information
searching.
It
seems
that
people
can
not
live
without
internet.
But
how
to
make
sure
that
the
internet is reliable.
I
think
the
online
media
need
to
shoulder
social
responsibility
for
the
benefit
of
creating
a good web environment,
and like the three dimensional world around us, it
is vulnerable to pollution, and other types of degradation. Once the Internet is polluted,
a great amount of
work
has to be done to recover it.
It is the media that decide what to
publish
on the web, so they
should be responsible
for
their behaviors.
When it comes to online games, the media should
avoid attracting
teens to play games
that are not suitable
for them
or
classify
games
into several
categories
.
When
it
comes
to
shopping,
media
should
set
a
safe
atmosphere
for
clients
so
that
they
can buy what
they
want
without worrying about
the safety
of their
account
or
whether the goods they
buy are
fake.
The online media should strengthen the supervision of information they provide for
customers and make sure that the operation of the websites
is
good.
To sum up,
our media should take
full
responsibility for what they have done.
