Blake Lively, the actress who plays a beautiful young socialite on the hit show Gossip Girl, relates more to a very different demographic in her real life.
"I feel like a tranny a lot of the time," the 5-foot-10 star says to a magazine interview "I don't know, I'm ... large? They put me in six-inch heels, and I tower over every man. I've got this long hair and lots of clothes and makeup on."
The 21-year-old actress -- who says that with her blonde hair and small dog, she rarely wears pink "to avoid looking like a piece of bubble gum" -- admits that her towering height makes her a bit self conscious.
"I just feel really big a lot of the time, and I'm surrounded by a lot of tiny people," she adds. I feel like a man sometimes.”
Her boyfriend, Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley doesn't seem to mind. The two have been dating since late 2007, although they try hard to keep the relationship private.
"You see people who will open up their relationships, who are very affectionate on the red carpet or are doing a reality show with each other, and their relationship just seems to crumble, so I decided to keep a vow of silence," Lively says.
Still, she can't help but gush about her boyfriend's talents.
"He plays any instrument he picks up," she says of the 22-year-old actor. "He bought a piano, and then two months later you would think he was a concert pianist."
