The mission of this private not for profit organization is to partner with the Village to execute selected projects to improve the experience of residents and youths at the Village recreational areas.
Our mission and related projects are executed for the benefit of the residents of the Village of Bellport.

Bike Racks - Installed Spring 2024
In the Summer of 2023 the BVPF was excited to procure new “U” shaped bike racks to be installed at 7 locations in the Village- BCC Golf, BCC Tennis, South Country Rd./CVS, Municipal parking lot, Village Hall, Community Center, and the Marina. They will be installed by the Village over the Winter and should all be in place by the Spring of 2024. This increase in bike racks in the Village is aimed at increasing cycling in the Village by providing new, attractive and secure bike racks at these key locations.

Air Conditioning the Bowling Alley - Completed 2023
In 2019, the Village, together with the BVPF, held a grand opening of the newly renovated activity room and antique bowling alley in the basement of the Village Community Center.
It has been met with great enthusiasm from all the residents. Of course right after its use was greatly restricted by Covid and then termites. However today it remains a highly sought out area for resident enjoyment year round and the Village Kids Camp during the Summer.
One of the biggest issues that arose very early on was the lack of heat and A/C in the space. The heat issue has been resolved but the lack of A/C remains a significant issue when using the space, even in the Winter. In reaction to this, the BVPF raised funds in 2020 using the A/C of the Bowling alley space as our keystone project.
Work has been completed in late 2023 with the installation of a ducted system with two Trane 3.5 ton condensing units outside the building.

Summer 2024 Fundraiser - Cocktails by the Bay - Aug 10 - 6 PM
The 2024 Cocktail Fundraiser at Roger and Sava Thomas' garden will be held on Saturday, August 10. Please support all of our great projects and attend!
July 14 - 5 PM
The Bellport Village Program Fund (BVPF) is pleased to announce the Bellport Bay 5K run will be staged in the early evening of Sunday, July 14, 2024. There will also be a Fun Run for kids of all ages and a post-run awards ceremony in the Bandshell Park. The race will start and finish now at the Main Dock and Bandshell Park. All proceeds from race registrations and tax-deductible sponsorships, after race-related expenses, will go to benefit the BVPF.
Family Night at Mother’s Beach - July 27 - 4-7 PM
Family Night at Mother’s Beach will be held on Saturday July 27, 2024. Food can be purchased from Flo’s Truck, paddle boarding, oyster seeding and other fun family activities planned. Meet new families and old friends.
Family Bingo Nights - July 11 & Aug. 1: 4-7 PM
The BVPF will again sponsor Family Bingo Nights outside at Cedarfield at 3 Titus Lane on July 11, and inside at the Bellport Country Club on Aug. 1. This event has been particularly fun for children of all ages!
2024 Sandcastle Contest - August 31
The annual Sandcastle contest will be held on Saturday, August 31 at Ho Hum Beach. This is an exciting event suited for all ages. Register at HoHum. Prizes and recognition in local media. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 1.
