Hi All

I have one TDS 380 - Power up OK - when display power up - Seft test OK everything


But when i go to diagnostic menu and run one test . I have Acquisition Error , pls see picture below


I a have another problem , i attach prober to sample signal , i don't see square wave in any CH1 or CH2 . But when i attach probe from another OSC to sample signal. Every thing ok - We have 5V square wave OK


I give more information , show in diagnostic log







It's show many error about :
- Save/recall memory error
-diagAcq - acqMemData
-diagAcq - acqMemPat
-diagAcq - acqMemAddr
-diagAcq - tbcDataRDBack
-diagAcq - fastFisoAcq
-diagAcq - fisoShortPipe
-diagAcq - fisoCell
-diagAcq - peakdetectAcq

Pls help me to check error and repair TDS 380, i open case and looking around , every ok , no resistor burn, no leak cap, every track and via ok . Solder pad, via look like new :|

Yes.

Replace ALL the electrolytics if they are surface mount because the TDS 300 and 400 series have issues with those caps leaking and eating traces.

I bought a TDS 460 a while back that failed aquisition and those caps were the cause.

I had a similar issue on my TDS340. Eventually just bought a TDS360 main board to replace it from ebay. Worked a charm

Buy new mainboard it's not my choice

Here it's picture mainboard of TDS 380 - Org , Org with caption and Mainboard TDS320 ( look like TDS380) . Picture i take on internet ( PCB have only 3 Electrolytic Cap in atten Module )

Have you any suggestion about Fiso Error and MemData Addr

I hope 3 Memory DRAM don't broken or die ,  finding part replacement so hard because machine very old ( >=20 years)
