问：relating to 和 related to 都可置于名词之后修饰名词作定语，用法上有何区别？

答：relating to 与 related to 用法和意义上相似，有时可以换用。但两者侧重不同，还是有所区别。

relating to 侧重指某事物本身涉及某个方面 (“Relating to" refers to an attribute of the thing itself）。

related to 侧重指两者之间有个某种联系 （”Related to” only means that there is some kind of connection）

举个例子：

I like to do a job relating to English.

我喜欢从事英语语言的工作。（指工作本身涉及英语语言。如英语翻译、英语老师）

I like to do a job related to English.

我喜欢做与英语有关的工作。（指工作内容与英语有联系，也就是说工作中会用到英语，如外贸工作。）

再例如：

This article relating to law and order is very comprehensive.

（The article which relates to law and order is very comprehensive.）

这篇关于法律和秩序的文章很全面。（侧重指文章内容都是关于法律和秩序方面的）

This article related to law and order is a bit difficult to understand.

这篇文章涉及法律和秩序方面的知识，有点难懂。（指文章涉及到一些法律和秩序方面的知识）
