Monise Motors is in Montclair which is about halfway (?) between you and Palm Springs. It's close to Claremont. It's owned by Frank Monise. His shop and work ethic are first rate. I've taken my MGB's to him for years. He ued to be in Pasadena but moved out there a year or so ago, and I still go out there even though it's at least a 35 mile drive for me. You might look into it.

Chris's Foreign Car Service in Costa Mesa is the best. He does mostly Healeys but he did a spectacular job on one of my MGs. Basil

I dropped my 1971 MGB at Ian Gill's Land Rover REPAIR shop on Hancock street in San Diego , a week ago, for a complete engine rebuilt . Quote for the total cost was in the $ 5000 range...
I will let you know shortly how satisfactory the work is.....

"Harloff" in San Diego is, in my opinion, the best around. What do you need done?
I'll second Dan's recommendation for Harloff, Robert is a tops here in the San Diego area. We dropped ours off when we bought it for tuning and smogging,

current changes-
Delco 63 amp alternator, Energy/Prothane suspension bushings, front to rear, JVC deck with IPOD controls, new Moss radiator, ADCO front 7/8" sway bar, OD black label trans, chrome bumper conversion, tan leather interior, AA wire block.
future mods-VTO 8 spoke 15x6 wheels (on order)
Aquired parts-
snug top

I agree with Drew on this recommendation. I have nothing but good things to say about Frank Monise Motors. I make the same trek from Pasadena!

Ian has been around for decades...good guy. I need to swing by there one of these day to talk to him about having a look through a SIII Land Rover gearbox that we are going to put in our IIA.
